Top Things to do in Shivanasamudra Falls

You can explore these waterfalls in about 2-3 hours. The best things that I enjoyed doing are exploring the twin waterfalls, visiting the old collapsed bridge and the fun coracle rides! Discover the top things to do for the best experience:

    1. Explore the Twin Waterfalls

    Shivanasamudra Falls

Many people don’t know that this waterfall is actually a cluster of two waterfalls, Gaganachukki Falls and the Bharachukki Falls. I visited the  Gaganachukki Falls first. It was very crowded, but the spot was perfect for photography. When I went to Bharachukki Falls, I got a closer view of the cascading river.

    2. Take a Coracle Ride

Take a fun coracle ride to get close to the water and have a memorable experience. The boatman usually charges ₹50 per person, and 4-5 people are accommodated in each boat. It is a relaxing and cool experience to immerse yourself in the surroundings of the falls. Some people take a bath in the waterfalls as the ride gets you completely drenched.

    3. Visit the Hydroelectric Plant

    Hydroelectric Plant

Visit the region’s active hydroelectric station. It is one of the first hydroelectric power stations in India, established in 1902. I think this is the testament of Indian industrial history and must be seen by all the visitors.

    4. See the Old Collapsed Bridge

    Old Collapsed Bridge

Old Collapsed Bridge, locally known as the Lushington Bridge, is the ruined structure that once served as an important crossing route over the Kaveri River. Go to see this spot and experience the historical importance of this bridge.
